Cross Country Heads to NCAA Southeast Regional

Richmond, Va. – The University of Richmond men's and women's cross country teams make the trip to the NCAA Southeast Regional at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park in Louisville, Ky. Friday.

The women's 6K championship race is set for 11 a.m., while the men's 10K goes off at noon. Information regarding the event can be found here.

The top two teams and the first four finishers in the race not associated with those two teams will advance to the NCAA Championships, held Nov. 19 in Stillwater, Okla.

Last year's regional saw both squads finish in the middle of the pack among the east's best. The women took 15^th out of 31 and the men took 17^th out of 30.

Elizabeth Stockman ran a 21:13.8 35 for 36^th to pace the Spider women and Stuart Terrill led the men, finishing with a new career-best 10K mark of 30:38.5, good for 47^th overall.

Last time out, the Spiders took to Pole Green Park for the Atlantic 10 Championships highlighted by All-Conference performances by Madison Trippett (9^th, 17:25.5) and Laurel Kurtz (12^th, 17:34.3).
