Vida assumes Assistant AD for Communications role

RICHMOND, Va. -- Jason Vida has been promoted to Assistant Athletics Director for Communications, Richmond Athletics announced Wednesday. Vida, who joined Richmond in 2017, has spent the last five years as UR's Associate Director for Athletic Public Relations. In that role, he served as the primary PR contact for Richmond's men's basketball, men's golf, and women's golf teams. Vida will continue to work with those sports while adding administrative and management duties as head of Richmond's Athletics PR department.
Prior to joining Richmond, Vida worked at ESPN in Bristol, Ct. for nine years. From 2014-17, he was a producer of the network's NFL studio shows, including NFL Live and NFL Primetime. From 2010-13, he served as ESPN's NFL research specialist, managing the network's professional football statistical analysis and on-air graphics operations. Vida started at ESPN in 2008 in the network's Stats & Information Group, working as a researcher on SportsCenter, Monday Night Football, and other programs. He is a three-time Sports Emmy nominee in the Outstanding Studio Show category.
Vida worked as a PR assistant for the Miami Dolphins from 2007-08 after earning his Master's degree in Sports Administration from Temple University. He received a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from The College of William & Mary, where he was a two-year member of the Tribe football program.
