Wheeler currently ranks sixth among active leaders in career tackles per game with 9.15 and has started 37-straight games—the most of any Spider.
Wheeler and the Richmond defense held the nation's No. 1 rushing offense to just 123 yards in the 41-0 playoff shutout victory over Davidson. Prior to the contest, the Wildcats averaged 350.5 ground yards per game.
Named a Stats Perform Preseason All-American, he takes home Stats Perform FCS Second Team All-American honors for the third-consecutive year.
