Women's Track and Field Heads to JDL DMR Invite

Richmond, Va – The University of Richmond track and field program is headed to Winston-Salem, N.C. Friday and Saturday for the JDL DMR Invitational at the JDL Fast Track.
A select group of mid-distance and distance UR athletes will make the trip south including Brooke Fazio (Basking Ridge, N.J.), Rachel Helbling (Mcdonald, Pa.), Kate McAndrew (Denville, N.J.), Kayla O'Connell (Marshfield, Mass.), Kendra Smither (Richmond, Va.) and Elizabeth Stockman (Rocky Hill, Conn.).
Fazio (800), Helbling (400), O'Connell (1200) and Stockman (1600) will get in a DMR tune-up ahead of next week's Atlantic 10 Indoor Track and Field Championships in Fairfax, Va. hosted by George Mason while Fazio will also run the invitational 800 alongside Kendra Smither.
A group of Spiders male runners from will also make the trip, with Joran Bendura (Glen Allen, Va.), Sean Doolan (Loudonville, N.Y.), Robert Gunia (Fredericksburg, Va.) and Patrick Sutphin (Mechanicsville, Va.) in the 5,000, Tanner Crochet (Monmouth, N.J.), Riley Fletcher (East Northport, Va,) and Jimmy Quinn (Nutley, N.J.) in the 3,000, Sullivan Cummins (Richmond, Va.) and Jake Schindel (Richmond, Va.) in the mile and William Tune in the 800.
