Spiders Defeat George Mason 4-2 at Home

RICHMOND, Va. – The Richmond Spiders battled for a 4-2 win against Atlantic 10 opponent George Mason Sunday afternoon at the Westhampton Tennis Courts.

With the win, the Spiders improve to 9-8 overall and 2-1 in A-10 play this season while the Patriots drop to 6-4 overall and 0-1 in A-10 play.

Richmond secured the doubles point with wins on courts one and two, and after straight-set singles wins for John Walsh and Alex Wernink on courts two and four, Daniel Kliebhan clinched the match on court one by coming back from dropping the first set to take the next two 6-2 and 7-5.

The Spiders remain at home to host Longwood Wednesday at 2 p.m.
