Spiders Picked Eighth in A-10 Preseason Poll

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Atlantic 10 announced on Thursday the 2022 women's soccer preseason rankings, and the Richmond Spiders were picked to finish eighth by the league's head coaches.
The Spiders received 109 points for their highest preseason ranking under head coach Marty Beall, who is entering his fifth season at the helm of the program. Additionally, the eighth-place ranking is the program's highest preseason ranking since 2017 when Richmond was also picked to finish eighth.
The 2022 A-10 women's soccer season launches on Thursday, Aug. 18 with all 15 teams getting underway on opening day. The Spiders open their 2022 campaign at Longwood with a 7 p.m. kickoff.
