Cayo Signs with EuroBasket’s Astoria

RICHMOND, Va. – Former University of Richmond men's basketball standout Nathan Cayo (Montreal, Quebec) has signed with Enea Astoria Bydgoszcz in Poland of the EuroBasket League for the upcoming 2022-23 season.
This summer Cayo averaged 12.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game in 20 games with the Montreal Alliance of the Canadian CEBL.
Cayo wrapped up his collegiate career at the University of Richmond this spring, helping the squad to an Atlantic 10 Championship and NCAA Tournament berth. In the NCAA First Round, Cayo scored 13 points in the second half, including a pair of And-1s with 1:24 and 0:34 remaining in UR's victory over Iowa.
Cayo finished his career with the fourth-highest field goal percentage (55.2) and ranks 19th in rebounds (613) and 25th in total points (1,385) in program history.
