Spiders Claim Weekend Sweep with Win Over George Mason

Hampton, Va. - The University of Richmond swimming and diving program took the 177-122 victory over George Mason on Saturday, claiming the fifth consecutive sweep of the Richmond Duals.
Opening the day, Natalie Stuart (first place - 17:46.80) and Alexa Connors (second place - 17:49.82) dominated the 1650 free.
The 200 was a strong event for Richmond as Katelyn Pennell snagged the first place finish with a mark of 1:56.11. Megan Carson finished third at 1:57.80.
Caroline Weldon led the way in the 100 back, finishing first at 57.07. Keirlyn Mullica finished shortly behind at 59.32, claiming third.
Following the 100 back, Weldon finished first once again, this time in the 200 back (2:04.38). Weldon finished the weekend with four first place finishes (100 back x2, 200 back x2)
The 500 free proved successful for Richmond as they took the event sweep:
Richmond divers dominated the standings in both the 1m and 3m on Saturday. Tess Weatherhead took the first place finish in the 1m with a score of 213.25 as the 3m added yet another event sweep for the Spiders:
