Stockman, Trippett and Kurtz Named All-Conference Saturday

Dayton, OH. - University of Richmond seniors Madison Trippett and Elizabeth Stockman along with junior Laurel Kurtz led the Spiders at the 2023 Atlantic 10 Cross Country Championships held at Elvin R. King Cross Country Course in Cedarville, OH Saturday, bringing home All-Conference honors. Stockman took the fourth place finish at 21:06.7, Trippett followed directly behind Stockman in fifth place at 21:09.4 and Kurtz found a top fifteen spot at eleventh with a finish of 21:33.7 in the 6K.
Overall, the Spider women finished third overall with 122 points. Paige Joyce (42nd - 22:25.65), Brooke Reif (62nd - 22:50.52) and Phoebe Rubio (65th - 22:57.65) were the next three Spiders to cross the finish line. The third place finish for Richmond marks an improvement from the 2022 season where the group took sixth.
On the men's side, Richmond finished tenth with 269 points. Jordan Bendura clocked a 24:56.90 for 36th to lead the Spiders. Henry Haase (45th - 25:07.05) and Stuart Terrill (46th - 25:07.71) found the finish line back-to-back following Bendura's finish. Eric Scully (68th - 25:34.44) and William Tune (99th - 26:11.87) rounded out the top five performances of the day for Richmond.
