Men's Basketball Adds Forwards McGlothin, Robinson on Signing Day

RICHMOND, Va. -- Richmond Men's Basketball announced the members of its 2024 signing class Wednesday, the first day prospective student-athletes enrolling in college in 2024 were eligible to sign a National Letter of Intent. Bryson McGlothin from Plano, Tex. and Jaylen Robinson from Jacksonville, Fla. signed NLIs with the program and will attend the University of Richmond next school year.
McGlothin, a 6'7" forward, attends John Paul II High School and plays AAU for JL3 and Texas Impact 4:13. Last season, he led John Paul II to a runner-up finish in the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools 6A state tournament. McGlothin is rated as the No. 25 player in the state of Texas in the Class of 2024, according to the composite rankings developed by 247 Sports. McGlothin received multiple Division I offers, including from UR's Atlantic 10 rival George Mason. He is the son of Vernon and Latasha McGlothin.
Robinson, a 6'6" forward, plays AAU for Austin Rivers SE Elite and is attending DME Academy this school year after spending his first three seasons at Jacksonville's Providence School. Robinson led Providence to the semifinals of the Florida High School Athletic Association class 3A state tournament in 2023 and was named All-News4JAX Boys Basketball Player of the Year after averaging 13.1 points per game. He is the 20th-ranked player in the state of Florida in the Class of 2024, according to FloridaHoops.com. Robinson chose UR over a group of finalists that included Princeton, Mercer, Yale, Penn and Columbia. He is the son of Ray and Carla Robinson.
