Spiders Hit Road for Darius Dixon Invitational

Lynchburg, Va.-Â The University of Richmond track and field program heads to Lynchburg, VA to participate in the Darius Dixon Invitational, hosted by Liberty.
Madison Trippett is set for a strong weekend as she takes on the mile on Saturday afternoon. Trippett is looking to continue her success after a very positive past weekend at the Scarlet Knight Invitational where she took the first place finish in the 5k (16:48.90). Trippett edged out all other competitors by nearly a whole minute. The win for Trippett set a new indoor personal best.Â
Caroline Donohoe has been consistent for the Spiders through the season and is looking to continue that streak heading into this weekend. In New York, she debuted in the 600m for the start of her college career. Her time of 1:38.32 placed her in fifth in section 3 and eighteenth overall. Donohoe will compete in the 800m for the Spiders on this trip.Â
Lindsay Colflesh looks to create a major impact for the Spiders this weekend in Lynchburg after a successful weekend in New York. Colflesh competed for the Spiders in the 800m within section 3 for a personal best (2:13.68). This qualified her for the ECAC championships. She is set to take on the 800m again on Friday afternoon.Â
