Monday's Behind The Web will feature Interim Head Coach Peter Thomas sitting in for head coach Chris Mooney along with player guest senior Tyler Burton. Voice of the Spiders Bob Black hosts the live radio show, which airs from 6-7pm at World of Beer Bar and Kitchen, 11600 W. Broad Street and can be heard on 106.1 ESPN, richmondspiders.com and espnrichmond.com. Â

Coach Mooney announced Friday he will have heart surgery to remove an aneurysm in his ascending aorta and will miss the remainder of the season. Assistant Coach Peter Thomas will serve as Interim Head Coach during Mooney's recovery period, which is expected to last four to eight weeks.
Burton is second in the Atlantic 10 in scoring (18.9 ppg) and fifth in rebounding (7.6 rpg), one of just two A10 players in the top five in both categories. He's the 15th Spider with 1,500 career points (1518) and just the third with 1,500 career points and 750 career rebounds (782), joining Peter Woolfolk and former teammate Grant Golden. Burton is one of 23 active players in D-I with 1,500 points and 750 rebounds and the only one in the Atlantic 10.
The radio program will be archived on richmondspiders.com and in the Audio Vault at espnrichmond.com. The show will be held every Monday during the college basketball season.Â
