Men's Basketball To Open A-10 Championship Tuesday vs UMass

RICHMOND, Va. — The Richmond Men's Basketball team will begin its defense of its 2022 Atlantic 10 championship Tuesday at 11:30 AM in the First Round of the 2023 Atlantic 10 Tournament at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Richmond, the 12 seed, will face 13th-seeded Massachusetts. The Minutemen defeated the Spiders 85-76 in Amherst, Mass. on January 25. Richmond led by three with less than three minutes remaining, but missed its final seven shots from the field as UMass closed the game on a 12-0 run. Prior to that, Richmond had won three straight in the series.
Tuesday's game will be available on ESPN Plus. Should the Spiders win, they'd face 5-seed George Mason Wednesday at 2 p.m. on USA Network.
