Spiders Add All-Southern Conference Selection Jordan King

RICHMOND, Va. — Jordan King, a Third Team All-Southern Conference honoree in each of the last two season at East Tennessee State, will transfer to Richmond and play for the Spiders this upcoming season.
King, a 6'0" guard, appeared in all 64 games for the Buccaneers during his two seasons at ETSU, making 62 starts. Last season, he ranked sixth in the Southern Conference with a team-high 15.6 points per game while also ranking among the conference leaders in minutes per game (second at 35.9) and assists per game (10th at 3.1). January 11 at The Citadel, King scored a career-high 42 points, tied for the third most in a single game in ETSU history.
In 2021-22, his first season at ETSU, King averaged 14.6 points per game, 12th in the Southern Conference, and shot 42.9 percent from three-point range, the best rate in the league and the ninth highest in all of Division I. Over the last two seasons, King's 166 three-pointers are tied for 37th most by any player in Division I.
King transferred to ETSU in 2021 following two seasons at Siena, where he helped the Saints to a pair of regular season MAAC championships. In 2020-21, he started all 17 games while leading Siena to a 12-5 record and averaging 12.2 points per game, third best on the team. He appeared in all 30 games as a freshman in 2019-20, making two starts and averaging 4.7 points per game.
King, a native of Albany, N.Y., attended Christian Brothers Academy. As a senior in 2018-19, he averaged 24.1 points and 4.5 assists per game and was named Suburban Council Player of the Year.
