In 2022, Udinski stood out as a record-breaking quarterback, completing a career-best 378-of-515 passes with a completion percentage of .734, the second-highest in the FCS. His performance led him to be named First Team All-CAA and earn the prestigious Bill Dudley Award, given yearly to the top college football player in the Commonwealth of Virginia. He contributed 29 touchdowns through the air and four on the ground to help Richmond reach the playoffs for the first time since 2016.
He propelled the Spiders to the third-highest total offense in the CAA, averaging an impressive 424.1 yards per game and became just the third quarterback in Richmond history to surpass 3,000 passing yards in a single season. In just one season as a Spider, he solidified his place in the program's record book with his 3,614 passing yards (third) and a program-record 378 attempts and .734 completion percentage.
His 28-of-31 (90.3) completion rate against Davidson in the NCAA Playoffs First Round set the record for highest completion percentage in FCS single-game playoff history.
He finished his career with a total of 11,474 passing yards, ranking 17th all-time in at the FCS level. His average of 29.08 completions per game in 2022 also led the nation.
Udinski joins a long list of Spiders-turned-CFL-players including current Richmond Co-Offensive Coordinator Winston October, who played for the Alouettes from 1999-2000.
