Mooney hires Dollar to Complete Men’s Basketball Staff

RICHMOND, Va. — Darian Dollar has been named Video Coordinator for the Richmond Men's Basketball, Spider Athletics announced Wednesday. With Dollar's appointment, the Spiders coaching staff has been finalized for the 2023-24 season.
Dollar will manage all aspects of the team's video operations while also contributing to opponent scouting, player recruitment, and team camps. He comes to Richmond following one year as an Assistant Coach at Indian Hills (IA) Community College, where he helped the Warriors to a 29-5 record and a spot in the semifinals of the National Junior College Athletic Association Men's Basketball National Tournament.
Prior to Indian Hills, Dollar served as a graduate assistant at Florida State, earning a Master's of Education degree while working under Seminoles head coach Leonard Hamilton.
Dollar received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida, serving as a team manager for the Men's Basketball program for three seasons.
Dollar's father Chad is currently the Associate Head Coach for the Cincinnati Men's Basketball team, and his uncle Cameron served as the head coach at Seattle University for eight seasons from 2009 to 2017.
