Cross Country Set for Adidas XC Challenge

Richmond, Va. - The University of Richmond cross country program will make the trip to Cary, NC. on Sept. 13 to compete in the Adidas XC Challenge. The men's 6K is set to begin at 5:15 p.m. as the women's 5K will start at 5:55p.m..
Last time out at the Spider Alumni Open, the men finished in third behind Virginia and Georgetown as the women claimed fourth behind Virginia, William & Mary and Georgetown.Â
 Stuart Terrill led the Spiders men, finishing 13th at 18:18.8. Right behind Terrill was Jordan Bendura who finished 21st at 18:36.6 (personal best). Henry Haase followed Bendura, crossing the finish line at 18:41.7 (personal best). Freshman Eric Scully took the 39th place finish at 19:11.1 in his collegiate debut. Rounding out the top five for Richmond was William Tune who finished in 45thplace with a mark of 19:15.9 (personal best).
Elizabeth Stockman led the women with a mark of 13:35.6 and the 3rd place finish (personal best). Madison Trippett claimed 10th place at 14:03.1. Laurel Kurtz (14:24.8) and Paige Joyce (14:26.6) finished back-to-back in the 19th and 20th place slots. Allison Colflesh rounded out the top five for Richmond with a 36th place finish at 14:52.1.
