Lydic Named Patriot League Golfer of the Week
09/20/2023 | Women's Golf
RICHMOND, Va. — Spiders sophomore Hannah Lydic has been named Patriot League Women's Golfer of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday. Lydic earned the honor after finishing runner-up at last weekend's Nittany Lion Invitational in State College, Pa. Lydic's 54-hole score of 4-under par (212) was second best tournament score in program history, trailing only her 11-under (205) en route to winning the 2022 William & Mary Fall Invitational.
This is Lydic's fourth career weekly Patriot League honor. She was named Patriot League Golfer of the Week three times last season prior to being named the Patriot League Women's Golf Rookie of the Year after helping the Spiders to the conference championship in April.
Lydic has now finished runner-up at the Nittany Lion Invitational in each of the last two seasons. Last weekend, she led the Spiders to a fifth-place finish in the 10-team event.
Lydic and the Spiders will return to action on October 9-10 at the UNCG Fall Invitational at Forest Oaks Country Club in Greensboro, N.C.
