What's Happening at the Robins Center This Season

Spider Basketball returns to the Robins Center next week, and Richmond Athletics is excited to welcome fans back to one of the best college basketball arenas in the nation!

Our men's and women's basketball teams will combine to play at least 29 games at the Robins Center this season. Here's what fans can expect to see and hear when they visit the arena.

PRIORITIZING SAFETY AND SECURITY
Fans entering Robins Center for Spider basketball games this season will pass through metal detectors staffed by RMC Events. Robins Center's policies on prohibited items remain unchanged.

BUFFALO WILD WINGS SPIDER KIDS CLUB MEMBERS GET MORE
Richmond Athletics will host 22 Spider Kids Clubs games this season: eight men's games (Nov. 9 vs. Marist, Nov. 20 vs. Maine, Dec. 14 vs. Belmont, Dec. 28 vs. Florida Gulf Coast, Jan. 11 vs. Rhode Island, Jan. 18 vs. Saint Louis, Feb. 15 vs. Fordham and Mar. 8 vs. George Mason) and all 14 women's home games. Members can receive a free ticket to every Spiders Kids Club game by claiming them via the link in the weekly newsletter.

Spiders Kids Club members can host their birthday party in a Robins Center terrace at a women's basketball game. Interested? Contact the Box Office at 1-877-SPIDER-1.

WebstUR Jr. level members can purchase discounted tickets for the men's game vs VCU on February 25, the Richmond Area Honda Dealers Capital City Classic.

FAMILY FUN ZONE PRESENTED BY VIRGINIA FAMILY DENTISTRY
The Family Fun Zone, presented by Virginia Family Dentistry, opens when gates open for every Spider basketball game. Enjoy some free games and activities for our younger Spider fans!

SPIDER BREWS PRESENTED BY JOYNER FINE PROPERTIES
Get ready for the game by enjoying a pregame tasting at our signature Spider Brews event. Located in the Weinstein Center from 4 to 5:30 pm. For only $10 per person, this event features all-you-care to taste craft beer from local breweries including Ardent Craft Ales along with delicious bites from local restaurant partners and a souvenir cup! Season ticket holders can call 1-877-SPIDER1 to add a pass to Spider Brews onto their existing ticket. Spider Brews will take place on December 14 vs. Belmont, January 25 vs. Davidson and February 15 vs. Fordham.

LIVE MUSIC
The Richmond pep band returns to Robins Center this season along with DJ Slam to keep the music going before and during the game from his courtside DJ booth. Have a song suggestion? Drop DJ Slam a recommendation here!

A BRAND NEW LOOK
See the court at the Robins Center like never before. The playing surface was stripped down to its studs in August and completely refinished, resulting in the elimination of the old women's three-point line, a thinner jump ball circle, and other minor changes. Dick Tarrant Court has never looked better!

BUFFALO WILD WINGS FOWL SHOTS
At men's basketball games, when the visiting team misses two consecutive free throws in the second half, the entire arena will win FREE 6 boneless wings!

NATIONAL BROADCASTS
Men's basketball's games vs Saint Louis (January 18 on USA Network) and VCU (February 25 on CBS Sports Network) will be nationally televised, as will the women's basketball game vs VCU (January 19 on CBS Sports Network).

On Saturday, November 9, a.k.a. Banner Day, the women's basketball team will open its home schedule against Morgan State at 1 pm. Prior to the game, the team will unveil its 2024 Atlantic 10 regular season and A-10 tournament championship banners!

After the generous donations from our fans last year in support of the 2023 Richmond Christmas Mother, Richmond Athletics has again partnered with Puritans to help those in need during the holidays. Donate gently used coats and jackets of all sizes to support Puritans Coats for Kids drive at both the November 20 game vs Maine and the women's basketball game on November 21 against William and Mary!
