Men's Basketball Adds Three From Class of 2025

RICHMOND, Va. — A pair of Richmond's top high school basketball players and a talented guard from a DC-area powerhouse signed with Richmond Men's Basketball this week, shortly after high school members of the Class of 2025 were first allowed to sign agreements with the schools of their choice.
Aiden Argabright from John Marshall High School and Donovan Richardson from The Steward School will continue the well-established tradition of some of Richmond's best basketball players choosing to stay home and play for coach Chris Mooney, who has helmed the program since 2005. Argabright, a 5'11" guard, is rated as the No. 12 prospect in Virginia's Class of 2025 by 247sports.com, the same site that also tabs him as a top 25 national combo guard. Argabright, who competes for on the AAU circuit for New World Basketball, led John Marshall to a third straight VHSL Class 2 state championship last spring. He chose UR from a group of multiple D-I offers, including Mississippi State in the SEC.
Richardson, a 6'6" guard, is rated as a top 200 national Class of 2025 prospect by prephoops.com. Richardson averaged 13.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.3 assists as a junior at Steward last season as the team reached the quarterfinals of the Division II VISAA State Boys Basketball Tournament. He selected UR after considering offers from many other D-I programs, including multiple Ivy League schools. Richardson is a member of the Virginia Elite AAU program.
Will Harper from Gonzaga College High School in Washington, D.C. chose Richmond after receiving more than 10 Division I offers, including several from within the Atlantic 10. Harper, a 6'4" guard, is a top-50 national shooting guard in the Class of 2025 and the No. 7 player from Washington, D.C., according to 247sports.com. Playing for a Gonzaga team that was ranked among the best in the nation, Harper averaged 9.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists as a junior last season. He plays for DC Premier on the AAU circuit.
