Women's Golf Adds Two From Class of 2025

RICHMOND, Va. — Richmond women's golf announced the addition of a pair of incoming student-athletes from the high school Class of 2025 Monday. Addie Doroh from Charlottesville, Va. and Avery McLaughlin from St. Louis, Mo. will attend the University of Richmond and compete for Spider women's golf as freshmen in 2025-25.
Doroh won the Virginia State Golf Association (VSGA) Junior Girls title in 2021 and finished as runner-up in both 2022 and 2024. Earlier this year, she placed seventh at the Women's Open of Virginia, shooting 72-76-71/219 (+3) at Independence Golf Club, Richmond's home course. Doroh, who captains the Albemarle High golf team, placed second in last month's VHSL Class 5 championship, earning All-State honors for the second consecutive season. At Albemarle, Doroh is a member of the National Honor Society, the Math Honor Society, and the Spanish Honor Society.
McLaughlin placed second at the Missouri Junior Amateur Championship last summer, shooting 72-76/148 (+4) at Crown Pointe Golf Club in Farmington, Mo. She is a two-time Junior World participant and the winner of the 2024 Saint Louis Junior Invitational. McLaughlin attends Visitation Academy, where she is a two-time district champion, a two-time conference player of the year, and a four-time All-State honoree, as well as a member of the National Honors Society.
