
Larripa, Luna Paratore, Wiggins Earn All-Conference Honors

RICHMOND, Va. – After leading the University of Richmond field hockey program to a 2024 Atlantic 10 Championship semifinal appearance, Clara Larripa, Valen Luna Paratore and Grace Wiggins have all received end-of-season Atlantic 10 awards, the conference announced Friday.
Clara Larripa and Valen Luna Paratore were named First Team All-Conference, while Larripa also collected All-Academic accolades. Grace Wiggins joined Luna Paratore as All-Rookie Team selections.
Larripa, a native of Buenos Aires, Argentina, finished the season with a team-leading 32 points on 12 goals and eight assists in 19 starts. A key to the squad's return to postseason action for the first time since 2021, Larripa was one of four players in NCAA Division 1 to score four goals in a game, the first of the season to do so on September 1 against William & Mary. In the career-high nine-point game, all four of her goals against the Tribe were over a five-minute span of game action.
Larripa had two-goal games against Temple, La Salle, and Georgetown with the game-winning goals against La Salle and Georgetown. She also tallied goals against Longwood and Penn and was credited with assists against William & Mary, App State, Saint Louis, Davidson (two), Towson, La Salle and James Madison.
Luna Paratore, an native of Buenos Aires, Argentina, finished second with 25 total points on 12 goals and one assist, while starting in all 19 contests as a forward. Luna Paratore was also named A-10 Rookie of the Week four times, the most in program history since the 2005 season. She had a career day against Lock Haven with a seven-point game including her first career hat trick and an assist on the team's fourth goal. Luna Paratore tallied the game-winning goals against App State, Longwood, Saint Louis and Towson. She also scored against William & Mary, La Salle, James Madison and twice against Davidson.
Wiggins, a native of Milton, Del., started in all 19 contests as a first-year player and finished tied for third on the team with 10 points and fourth with three goals and four assists. She scored the overtime game-winning goal against Davidson, diving away from the goal and getting a wrist-shot past the keeper. Wiggins also scored the first Richmond goal against Davidson and helped on the tying goal for a five-point game. Wiggins tallied the first goal against Georgetown and recorded her first collegiate points on two assists in the victory over William & Mary. She also picked up a helper against Towson. As a vital member on both sides of the penalty corner unit, she tallied a defensive save against Maryland.
