Spiders Set Travels for Historic Raleigh Relays

Richmond, Va. – The University of Richmond women's track and field program will send twelve Spiders to compete at the historic Raleigh Relays hosted by NC State through March 28-30.
The program opened its outdoor season this past weekend as the Spiders hosted the Fred Hardy Invitational at Robins Stadium. The day was highlighted by the performances from Alicia Dawson, Elizabeth Stockman and Gabrielle Cummings. Dawson broke the program record in the triple-jump with the 1st place finish and mark of 12.33m. Dawson now owns Richmond's indoor and outdoor records in the event. Elizabeth Stockman was named the Atlantic 10 Track Performer of the Week after taking the 1st place finish in the 1500m with a time of 4:25.23, holding the current No. 18 mark in the NCAA East Region. Cummings won the 100m with the speedy mark of 12.20, a personal best for the freshman.
Competition opens at 9:45 a.m. on Thursday the 28th and closes at 5:35 p.m. on Saturday the 30th.
