Spiders Take on Penn Relays for Final Meet of Regular Season

Richmond, Va. – The University of Richmond track & field program will return to action this weekend as the team is set to compete at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Pa. from April 25-27.

Competition will open at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday and Friday. Saturday action will begin at 7:00 a.m. Follow live results here.

Elke Van der Westhuizen highlighted last weekend for the Spiders at the historic Virginia Challenge as the University of Virginia hosted many of the top programs within the country April 19-20. The junior from Paarl, South Africa found great success in the 200m, taking the 7th place finish with a personal best of 24.02. This mark currently stands at No. 1 in the Atlantic 10 as Van der Westhuizen and her Spiders approach the end of the regular season. She has been named this week's Atlantic 10 Track Performer of the Week.
