04/03/2024 | Women's Golf
RICHMOND, Va. — For the fourth time this season, the Patriot League named Spiders sophomore Hannah Lydic its Golfer of the Week Wednesday after she recorded a top-10 finish at the Ironwood Invitational. Lydic, who also won the award on March 20, November 1, and September 20, is the first women's golfer to win the award four times in a season since the Patriot League started naming Golfers of the Week in 2018.
Lydic shot rounds of 74, 75, and 74 for a combined score of 223 (+7) to finish tied for ninth at Ironwood Golf & Country Club earlier this week. It was her sixth top-10 finish this season. She has finished no worse than 23rd in all eight of her outings this year.
Lydic led the Spiders to a tie for fifth in the event, Richmond's third straight top-five team result. Up next for the team is the Patriot League Championships at Bucknell from April 19-21.
This is the seventh career Player of the Week honor for Lydic, the reigning Patriot League Rookie of the Year.
