Spiders End Postseason Run with Strong Second Day of NCAA Track & Field East Preliminary Championships

Lexington, KY. – Elizabeth Stockman and Alicia Dawson wrapped up their Richmond careers on Saturday as they represented the program in the second day of the NCAA Track & Field East Preliminary Championships on the campus of University of Kentucky in Lexington.

After taking the 32^nd place finish in the long jump on Thursday, Alicia Dawson returned to action Saturday in the triple jump. Dawson completed her Richmond campaign with the 36^th place ranking in the event posting a measurement of 12.37m.

Elizabeth Stockman took on her second event of the weekend in the 3K steeplechase. Prior to Saturday she was ranked No. 47 nationally. She finished the race in Lexington at 10:53.97 with the 42^nd place finish, moving up five spots in the rankings. Stockman only ran the event four times prior to the championships, competing for the fifth time on one of the largest stages in the sport.
