Spiders Add All-MAC Selection B. Artis White

RICHMOND, Va. — B. Artis White, who earned a pair of All-MAC selections in four seasons at Western Michigan, will transfer to Richmond and play for the Spiders this upcoming season.
White, a 6'0" guard, appeared in 96 games with 89 starts for the Broncos dating back to 2019-20. (White received a medical redshirt for a knee injury in 2022-23.) Last season, White led WMU with a career-high 3.2 assists per game, seventh in the MAC, and scored 10.4 points per game. He also shot 38.6 percent from three-point range, seventh in the conference among those with at least 100 three-point attempts, while earning Honorable Mention All-MAC honors for a second time.
White's first Honorable Mention All-MAC selection came in 2021 after he led Western Michigan with a career-high 14.3 points per game and shot 41.9 from three-point range, third best in the conference.
White graduated from Western Michigan in December with a degree in Sports Management. He leaves Western Michigan fourth on the program's career three-pointers list with 192.
White, a native of Canton, Mich., prepped at Canton High School where he was a finalist for Michigan's Mr. Basketball Award in 2019 after averaging 21.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 3.0 steals as a senior.
