RICHMOND, Va. — Neal Quinn has signed his first professional contract, inking a deal with Aix Maurienne Savoie Basket of France's LNB Pro B.
Quinn graduated from Richmond in May with a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Philosophy, Politics, Economics, and Law after two seasons with the Spiders. He led the Spiders to their first Atlantic 10 regular season title last season while averaging 12.5 points, 5.4 rebounds, and a team-high 3.9 assists per game. Quinn was named Second Team All-Atlantic 10, finishing the year ranked in the top 10 in the conference in assists per game (seventh), blocks per game (10th), field goal percentage (10th), and assist-to-turnover ratio (fifth).
Quinn came to Richmond in 2022 following three seasons at Lafayette, where he earned Second Team All-Patriot League honors as a junior. Quinn led the team in assists (2.9 per game) and finished second in scoring (9.5 points per game) during his first season with the Spiders.
He is the second member of Richmond Basketball's Class of 2024 to begin his professional career, joining classmate Isaiah Bigelow, who signed with Hungary's Zalakeramia ZTE KK last month. Quinn is the 32nd Spider to go on to a professional career after playing for Chris Mooney, who is entering his 20th season at Richmond.
