RICHMOND, Va. — Jordan King has signed his first professional contract, inking a deal with UA Fundacion Lucentum Alicante of Spain's Tercera FEB.
King graduated from Richmond in May with a Master's of Liberal Arts degree after spending his fifth and final college season with the Spiders in 2023-24. King led the Spiders to their first Atlantic 10 regular season title while averaging 18.0 points and 2.5 assists per game and shooting 41.4 percent from three-point range. King finished among the Atlantic 10 leaders in scoring (third), three-point FG percentage (second), minutes per game (fifth), and steals per game (12th).
In March, King was named Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Year along with Dayton's DaRon Holmes, joining Kevin Anderson (2009-10) and T.J. Cline (2016-17) as the only Spiders to win A-10 Player of the Year. King also was named to the A-10's All-Academic Team and picked First Team All-Conference by both the A-10 and NABC. He was selected to the watch list for the Oscar Robertson Trophy and All-America Watch List by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association.
King is the third member of Richmond Basketball's Class of 2024 to begin his professional career, joining classmates Neal Quinn, who signed with France's Aix Maurienne earlier this month, and Isaiah Bigelow, who signed with Hungary's Zalakeramia ZTE KK in June. King is the 33rd Spider to go on to a professional career after playing for Chris Mooney, who is entering his 20th season at Richmond.
