Spiders Open Play at Pirate Collegiate Classic

GREENVILLE, N.C. — The Richmond Spiders women's golf team is in 13th place after playing the first two rounds of the 15-team Pirate Collegiate Classic Monday.

The top Spider on the individual leaderboard is junior Maya Beasley, who is tied for 37th at 6-over par after rounds of 72 (E) and 78 (+6). She's one shot in front of freshman Addie Doroh, who opened with a 77 (+5) and paced UR with a 74 (+2) in Round 2 Monday afternoon. Doroh is tied for 45th.

Seniors Hannah Lydic (+9) and Olivia Wilkie (+10) are tied for 57th and 60th, respectively, among the 87 golfers on the leaderboard. Wilkie is competing as an individual.

Freshman Avery McLaughlin opened her college career with rounds of 77 (+5) and 78 (+6) and is tied for 62nd at 11-over par. Sophomore Katie Magner is one shot back at 12-over par, tied for 64th.

Richmond will begin Tuesday's third and final round at 7:45 AM on the 10th tee at the Greenville Country Club Tuesday.
