Women’s Cross Country Finish Fourth, Men Finish Tenth at Atlantic 10 Championships

CEDARVILLE, Ohio. – The University of Richmond's cross country team competed at the Atlantic 10 Championships at the Elvin K. Cross Country Course this morning. The women finished fourth with 109 points and the men finished 10th 261 points.
Sophomore Hallie Muniz led the women, finishing sixth (21:19.0). Muniz earned First Team All-Atlantic 10 honors with her top-15 finish performance.
Hudson finished 21st with a personal-best time (21:48.2). Following Hudson was senior Phoebe Rubio, who also ran a personal best to place 25th (21:50.1).
Freshman Alyson Stepp finished 42nd (22:16.1). Sophomore Addie Cohen followed in 44th (22:18.8). Senior Brooke Reif was the last Spider to score, finishing 47th (22:22.4).
On the men's side, senior Henry Haase led the Spiders, finishing 25th (24:44.4). Freshman Andy Condon finished 40th (25:56.9) with the sixth-fastest time among his class at the A-10 Championships. Freshman Alex Mastroly finished 57th (25:21.1).
Sophomore Brady Barber finished 83rd (25:56.0), and senior Jason Latina followed in 85th (25:58.2). Senior William Marhold crossed the line at 26:01.4 to finish 87th. Junior Carter Bruns was the last to score for the Spiders, finishing 92nd (26:09.6).
For Richmond, five freshmen competed in their first A-10 Cross Country Championships: Stepp (42nd; 22:16.1), Lily Strebel (59th; 22:35.9), Condon (40th; 25:56.9), Mastroly (57th; 25:21.1) and Bennett Wright (99th; 26:20.5).
Other notable performances included a personal-best time from sophomore Mia Paolino (69th; 22:50.4).
Up next for the Spiders is the NCAA Southeast Region Championships on Friday, Nov. 14 in Charlottesville, Va.
