Argabright Named A-10 Rookie of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. — Spiders freshman guard Aiden Argabright has been named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Monday. Argabright averaged 13 points, 4.5 assists, and two steals per game while leading Richmond to a pair of wins over VMI and Gardner-Webb last week.
Argabright is the first Spider to earn an A-10 Rookie of the Week honor since Jason Nelson on December 12, 2022 and the first true freshman to win the award since Jake Wojcik on December 31, 2018.
Argabright leads the Spiders in scoring (13.2 points per game), assists (2.6 per game), and steals (2.2 per game) this season as Richmond has opened the year with five straight wins, just its second 5-0 start in 21 seasons under Chris Mooney (also 2019-20).
Argabright and the Spiders will attempt to reach 6-0 for the first time since 1985-86 and just the fifth time in program history Thursday in the opening round of the Imagination Bracket at the Terry's Chocolate ESPN Events Invitational at Walt Disney World. Richmond will face Furman at 11 AM on ESPN2.
