Mike Walz Joins Coach Mooney On Behind The Web Monday 6-7pm At The Local & Live on 106.1 ESPN

Senior center Mike Walz, coming off a season-high 16 points in Saturday's victory over state rival Old Dominion, is the player guest this Monday, December 8, on Behind The Web, from 6-7pm at The Local At Forest & Ridge, 403 N. Ridge Road, in the Tuckahoe Shopping Center. Featuring men's basketball coach Chris Mooney and Voice of the Spiders Bob Black, the live radio show can be heard on 106.1 ESPN, richmondspiders.com and espnrichmond.com.

Walz also grabbed eight rebounds and blocked a Monarch dunk attempt which triggered a Spider fast break that ended with a rim-rattling slam by Jaden Daughtry, giving the home team a seven point lead with 1:20 to play. The 6-11 Walz was highlighted nationally Wednesday night when he drained a three-quarter court shot just before halftime at Belmont. The play was number eight on ESPN Sportscenter's Top Ten.
