Roussell, Radice Named Mid-Major Award Semifinalists; Fan Voting Open Until March 2

RICHMOND, Va. – Richmond women's basketball Head Coach Aaron Roussell and Associate Head Coach Jeanine Radice have been named semifinalists for the World Exposure Report Mid-Major Head Coach of the Year and Mid-Major Assistant Coach of the Year. Fans can vote using the fan ballot until March 2 at 9 p.m. ET, with the finalists announced on March 3rd and the award winners unveiled on April 1st at the Final Four in Tampa.
Roussell, in his sixth season at the helm of the Spiders, has guided the program to national prominence, leading Richmond to its first Atlantic 10 regular-season title and A-10 Championship in 2023-24. Under his leadership, the Spiders earned a berth in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2004, finishing the season with a 29-6 record and the highest NET ranking (52) in the conference. This season, Roussell has coached his team to multiple national weekly honors as well as to a 22-5 overall record and a 13-1 mark in Atlantic 10 Conference action.
Radice, in her first season as associate head coach and sixth overall with the program, has played a key role in Richmond's rise. She has been instrumental in player development, guiding Grace Townsend to A-10 All-Conference First Team and All-Academic honors last season while also mentoring Ally Sweeney to A-10 Rookie of the Week accolades. Radice's coaching has also contributed to Richmond leading the A-10 in assists per game, field goal percentage, and three-pointers per game in 2023-24. This season, her coaching has led Richmond to top-20 rankings in assists per game, field-goal percentage, three point percentage and three pointers per game.
Richmond currently leads the A-10 in assists per game (18.2), field goal percentage (50%) and three-point percentage (38.9).
