Doogan Tabbed A-10 Under Armour Player of the Week for Third Time This Season

RICHMOND, Va. – University of Richmond junior Maggie Doogan has been tabbed Atlantic 10 Conference Under Armour Player of the Week after delivering two dominant performances against George Washington and VCU to notch the Spiders' 14th-consecutive victory and the program's second straight A-10 regular-season title for the first time in program history. Following the win at VCU on Sunday, the Spiders added the 2025 regular season title to its 2024 championship season as well as 1984 and 1990 regular season titles in the CAA.
This is the third weekly honor for Doogan this season as she earned her first honor on Dec. 9, 2024, and her second on Jan. 13, 2025. Doogan also picked up the fourth title for the Spiders this season after Rachel Ullstrom earned Co-Player of the Week on Nov. 11, 2024.
Doogan was unstoppable in Richmond's 67-57 win over George Washington on Wednesday, leading the Spiders with 26 points on an efficient 9-of-12 (75%) shooting performance. She was lethal from beyond the arc, hitting 4-of-6 (66.7%), and perfect from the free-throw line (4-of-4). She also secured her 10th career double-double with 11 rebounds while adding three assists and a block.
She followed the game against GW with another stellar outing in Sunday's 68-55 road win at VCU, pouring in a game-high 33 points on 12-of-16 (75%) shooting. She knocked down 3-of-5 (60%) from three-point range and was perfect from the line (6-of-6). In addition, she contributed six rebounds, four assists, and two blocks to help the Spiders secure the victory.
For the week, Doogan led the A-10 with 29.5 points per game while adding 8.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.5 blocks. She was remarkably efficient, shooting 75% from the field, 63.6% from three-point range and 100% from the free-throw line.
The Spiders will return to Robins Center on February 26th at 6 p.m. to round out regular season play before moving on to the A-10 Tournament at Henrico Sports and Events Center as the No. 1 seed, beginning play at 11 a.m. on Friday March 7.
