Eight National TV Games Highlight Men's Basketball A-10 Schedule
09/25/2025 | Men's Basketball
RICHMOND, Va. — The Atlantic 10 announced its men's basketball schedule Thursday for the upcoming 2025-26 season, the 50th in conference history. As part of its 18-game conference schedule, Richmond will play eight nationally-televised games, evenly split between A-10 partners CBS Sports Network and USA Network. The Spiders will also play a home-and-home series against five conference rivals: Davidson, George Washington, Rhode Island, St. Bonaventure, and VCU.
"With so much new talent in the Atlantic 10, I know the conference season is going to be extremely close, extremely competitive, and played at an extremely high level," said Richmond coach Chris Mooney. "We're excited to have the chance to showcase the Spiders both in the Robins Center and to college basketball fans across the country during our national TV games."
For the second straight year, Richmond will tip off its A-10 schedule with a home game vs George Washington on New Year's Eve. The Spiders defeated the Revolutionaries 66-61 in the conference opener for both teams last season, overcoming a 13-point deficit with nine minutes remaining.
The Spiders will make a swing through New York at the start of the new year, visiting Fordham on January 4 in a game that will be televised on USA Network and playing at St. Bonaventure on January 7. UR then hosts the league's Philadelphia teams over a span of four days at the Robins Center, starting with Saint Joseph's on January 11 (on USA Network) and La Salle on January 14.
Richmond will visit Saint Louis on January 17 for a nationally-televised game on CBS Sports Network before returning home to host Rhode Island on January 21. The Spiders will then make their two shortest road trips of the conference season: first to George Washington on January 24 (on USA Network) and then to VCU on January 27. The matchup against VCU, part of the two-game Capital City Classic presented by Richmond Area Honda Dealers, will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network. The Spiders close the month by hosting Davidson at the Robins Center on January 31 on USA Network.
A week later, Richmond travels to Rhode Island for a meeting on February 7 and then returns to the Robins Center for a pair of home games vs intrastate rivals, hosting George Mason on February 10 and VCU on February 14 on CBS Sports Network.
UR pays a midweek visit to Davidson on February 18 before hosting St. Bonaventure on February 21. Following a midweek bye, Richmond heads to Loyola Chicago on February 28 for a game that will be shown on CBS Sports Network and then wraps up its regular-season schedule with a home game vs Dayton on March 3 and a road stop at Duquesne on March 7 in Pittsburgh, Pa., the site of the 2026 Atlantic 10 Men's Basketball Championship.
The conference also announced that USA Network has picked up the rights to the broadcast of Richmond's non-conference game vs Old Dominion on December 6 at the Robins Center. Combined with UR's game vs Furman on ESPN2 at the Terry's Chocolate ESPN Events Invitational on November 27, Richmond will play at least 10 games on national television during the 2025-26 regular season.
Tip-off times and full TV broadcast information for all Richmond games will be updated on RichmondSpiders.com as they become available. Home games and Atlantic 10 games not shown on national television will be streamed on ESPN+ as part of the Atlantic 10's digital rights agreement.
Single-game tickets and mini-plans will go on sale in early October for the 2025-26 season, Richmond's 25th in the Atlantic 10. Since joining the league in 2001, Richmond has the second most total wins (431) and conference wins (219) of any Atlantic 10 program.
