Know Before You Go: Football vs Howard

Richmond, Va.— The University of Richmond football team returns home Saturday to take on Howard during Family Weekend presented by Sheehy Lexus of Richmond. Kickoff between the Spiders and the Bison is set for 2:00 p.m. at Robins Stadium.
TV and Radio
Can't attend in person? Catch the game live on ESPN+, the exclusive home of all Patriot League football contests. Bob Black, Voice of the Spiders, will be on play-by-play, with Spider football alum Chris Anderson serving as analyst and Guerin Austin reporting from the sideline. Robert Fish and Matt Smith will have the radio call on 106.1 ESPN Richmond.
Parking and Tailgating
Parking lots open at 10:00 a.m. Tailgating is permitted in all lots. Consumption of alcohol is limited to ABC-licensed lots (C61, C66, and C70). All general parking lots are free of charge. Fans will be directed to a parking area based on the entrance used, time of arrival, and available spaces.
UR Family Weekend Tailgate
Celebrate family and friends during Family Weekend, presented by Sheehy Lexus of Richmond. Stop by the UR Family Weekend Tailgate located in the front forest in front of the Robins Center. The first 1,500 fans will receive a Spiders drink tumbler!
At The Game
Robins Stadium gates open at 12:30 p.m. The National Anthem will be performed by Richmond's all-male a cappella group, the Octaves.
At halftime, the men's lacrosse team will unveil its 2025 Atlantic 10 Championship and NCAA Quarterfinals banners. The women's basketball team will be recognized for its 2025 NCAA Tournament run, and the RVA Corgi Club is off and running for a fan-favorite corgi race.
2025 Spider Football Yearbook and Game Day Poster
New this season, Richmond Athletics will offer fans free 2025 Spider Football yearbooks at all five home games. Fans will also receive exclusive game day posters, each featuring one of the team's five captains. Saturday's poster highlights senior offensive lineman Scott Hummel, with the reverse side displaying team rosters and depth charts.
Giveaway
The first 1,500 fans at the UR Family Weekend Tailgate and the first 1,500 fans through the Robins Stadium gates will receive an exclusive Spiders drink tumbler!
