RICHMOND, Va. – University of Richmond guard Rachel Ullstrom has been named Atlantic 10 Conference Player of the Week after leading the Spiders to a 2-0 week with A-10 wins over Dayton and VCU.
Ullstrom averaged 23.0 points per game while shooting 73.9 percent from the field and 66.7 percent from three-point range across the two victories. She totaled 46 points on the week, connecting on 10 three-pointers while committing just one turnover in 62 minutes of action.
The senior opened the week with 26 points in a road win at Dayton, finishing 9-of-11 from the field and 6-of-7 from beyond the arc. She added three rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal to help Richmond secure the road victory.
Ullstrom followed with 20 points against VCU, knocking down four three-pointers as the Spiders earned a dominant 77-47 win inside the Robins Center. The game was played in front of 5,224 fans, marking the program's largest home crowd since 2000.
Her efficient scoring anchored Richmond's offense as the Spiders extended their winning streak to five games and improved to 8-1 inside the Robins Center this season. The honor marks the third Atlantic 10 Player of the Week award of Ullstrom's career and her first since Nov. 11, 2024. It is the seventh weekly conference honor of the season for Richmond, following Maggie Doogan's selection last week.
The Spiders travel to Fairfax, Va., to face George Mason on Jan. 25 at 2 p.m. on ESPNU before returning home to host Duquesne on Jan. 28 at 6 p.m. inside the Robins Center.
