OPENING STATEMENT PREVIEW
Richmond will open the squad's home slate Friday Nov. 6 and Sunday, Nov. 8 when the team hosts the Opening Statement, as part of the scheduling alliance between the Atlantic 10 Conference, American Conference, Missouri Valley Conference and the Ivy League. As one of two host sites, UR will host Princeton, Rice and Murray State. Belmont University's Curb Event Center will host Rhode Island, Columbia and South Florida. This initiative is rooted in a shared goal: to create more competitive and compelling non-conference opportunities for the top programs in each respective conference.

RICHMOND vs PRINCETON
The Spiders have only faced the Tigers once before, suffering a 72-70 loss back in 1984. Princeton also has a new coaching staff as Lauren Gosselin took the reins of the Tiger program in April. The Tigers defeated Belmont, 53-42, in her first game as the Princeton head coach on Nov. 2. Gosselin takes over a program that finished 2025-26 season 26-4, collected the Ivy League regular season title, defeated Harvard to make the program's seventh-straight NCAA Tournament appearance and finished at No. 25 in the WBCA Coaches' Poll. Returning All-Ivy honoree Fadima Tall paced the Tigers against Belmont, putting together a 29-point, 22-rebound performance, the first in program history since 1985.Â

RICHMOND vs RICE
Richmond dropped the only meeting between the two programs in 2000, a neutral site match-up 77-63 at the UNC Greensboro Tournament. Rice, under the guidance of six-year head coach Lindsay Edmonds, collected a program-record 29 wins, including 22-straight win-streak, an American Conference regular season title and reached the second round of the WBIT last season. Rice opened this season with a 77-34 victory over Houston Christian at home Nov. 2. The Owls offense returns 2025-26 American Conference Player of the Year Victoria Flores, who averaged 12.2 points a game, 3.2 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.7 steals in her junior season.Â

FIRST SPIDER WIN FOR KRESGE
Sophomore guard Aneisha Scott paced the Richmond offense with a career-high 30 points to lead the squad to an 83-71 victory at Charlotte Nov. 2. Scott also pulled down five rebounds and dished out five assists. Ally Sweeney chipped in 22 points, four rebounds and four assists while Josie Fontana had 10 points, including two three-pointers, eight boards, two assists, two steals and a block in her first start and game as a Spider.
