03/11/2026 | Men's Basketball
PITTSBURGH, Pa. — Spiders guard Aiden Argabright has been named to the Atlantic 10's All-Rookie Team, the conference announced Wednesday prior to the start of the A-10 Men's Basketball Championship at PPG Paints Arena. Argabright is the first Spider to land on the team since Grant Golden in 2018.
Argabright led all A-10 first-year players with 10.8 points per game during the regular season while ranking second among conference freshmen in assists (1.9 per game) and third in steals (1.2 per game).
He was a four-time Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honoree, and ranked among the top 10 in the entire conference in free throws (second with 134), turnover percentage (third at 9.2), offensive rating (eighth at 121.2, via KenPom), and assist-to-turnover ratio (10th at 2.4).
With at least one game remaining this season, Argabright's 323 total points are 13th most ever by a Spiders freshman, and his 134 free throws are second most by a freshman in program history (Ed Harrison - 149 in 1952-53).
Argabright was joined on the All-Rookie Team by Davidson's Devin Brown, La Salle's Ashton Walker, Saint Joseph's Austin Williford, and VCU's Nyk Lewis, who was named the conference's Rookie of the Year.
Argabright is just the eighth Spider to land on the All-Rookie Team since UR joined the Atlantic 10 in 2001. In addition to Golden, he joins De'Monte Buckingham (2017), Khwan Fore (2016), Kendall Anthony (2012), Kevin Anderson (2008), Dan Geriot (2007), and Gaston Moliva (2004).
Richmond will open play at the A-10 Tournament Wednesday vs Loyola Chicago at 2 PM on USA Network.
