03/20/2026 | Women's Golf
RICHMOND, Va. — The Richmond women's golf team is No. 1 in the Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll, which was released by the conference Friday. The Spiders, who won the inaugural Atlantic 10 women's golf title last season, received four of a possible six first-place votes in voting by the league's coaches. With 34 total points, Richmond finished ahead of Loyola Chicago (28) and Dayton (27), with Duquesne (19), Saint Joseph's (10), and La Salle (8) rounding out the poll.
Richmond has finished in the top five in each of its three events this spring, including a third-place finish at last week's Low Country Intercollegiate in Hilton Head, S.C. The Spiders also won the season-opening Tribe Invitational in Williamsburg, Va. in September.
The 2026 Atlantic 10 Women's Golf Championship will be held at Evermore Resort in Orlando, Fla. from April 20-22. Up next for the Spiders is NC State's City of Oaks Collegiate in Raleigh, N.C. The 54-hole, three-day event begins Sunday.
