Spiders Split Friday Doubleheader at Westhampton Tennis Complex

RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond men's tennis team split a Friday doubleheader at the Westhampton Tennis Complex, falling 4-2 to James Madison before closing the day with a 7-0 victory over Randolph-Macon. With the results, the Spiders move to 4-6 on the spring season, while the Dukes improve to 7-3 and the Yellow Jackets fall to 1-5.

James Madison opened the afternoon by claiming the doubles point with a win on court three. Cole Brashear and Davis Wiley earned a 6-3 victory over Esteve Agusti and Francisco Sinopoli at the top spot, and Charlie Burdell and Otto Sewell added a 6-3 decision against Grant Kroodsma and Ryan Morgan on court three. The match on court two featuring Paxton Pritchard and Sam Rathmanner against Zach Fleishman and Aurelien Schmitt was left unfinished with James Madison leading 5-3, giving the Dukes the early advantage.
