Spiders Add Butler Transfer Jamie Kaiser Jr.

RICHMOND, Va. — Jamie Kaiser Jr., a 6'6" guard from Burke, Va., will transfer to Richmond and play for the Spiders this upcoming season.
Kaiser Jr. played for Butler in the Big East Conference last season. He averaged 9.5 points and 4.3 rebounds per game for the Bulldogs while making 29 starts. In addition to being Butler's third-leading scorer and third-leading rebounder, Kaiser ranked third on the team in minutes (29.1) and steals (1.2) per game.
Kaiser Jr. redshirted at Butler in 2024-25 after having a procedure on his right ankle that October. He started his college career at Maryland, where he averaged 4.4 points and 2.0 rebounds per game while making five starts as a freshman in 2023-24.
Kaiser Jr. will be a redshirt junior next season and has two years of eligibility remaining. He finished his prep career at IMG Academy in Florida, where he was ranked among the top 75 recruits nationally in the high school class of 2023. He also attended Bishop Ireton in Alexandria, Va. and Lake Braddock High in Burke, Va.
Kaiser Jr. is the first member of Richmond's 2026 transfer class.
