Spiders Stick With Big Guns on Day 1 of Terps Invitational

COLLEGE PARK, Md. — The Richmond Spiders are in seventh place in the 16-team field at the Terps Invitational following Rounds 1 & 2 Sunday. The six teams in front of the Spiders are all ranked in the top 100, while UR, currently ranked 143rd in the nation, is front of top-100 teams Penn State and Notre Dame as well as seven others schools with Monday's final round remaining.
The Spiders were led by freshman Addie Doroh Monday. Doroh opened with an even-par 72, tied for the fifth best Round 1 score in the field of 90, and followed it up with a 3-over 75 in Round 2. Doroh is currently tied for 14th at 3-over par (147). She played the par 5s at the University of Maryland Golf Course in 5-under par Monday, best of any golfer.
Junior Maya Beasley is tied for 31st at 6-over par (150) after leading Richmond with a 2-over 74 in Round 2. Senior Hannah Lydic is one shot back in a tie for 36th at 7-over par (151).
Senior Hannah Lydic is tied for 56th at 10-over par after rounds of 79 (+7) and 75 (+3) Monday, while sophomore Katie Magner is tied for 80th at 14-over par (158).
Monday's final round will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 AM.
