RICHMOND, Va. — Jaden Shoultz, a 6-foot-4 guard from DeMatha High School in Hyattsville, Maryland, has signed with Richmond men's basketball and will join the program for the 2026-27 season, the team announced Friday.
Shoultz, originally from Columbus, Ohio, earned Honorable Mention All-WCAC honors in the prestigious Washington Catholic Athletic Conference this past season while leading DeMatha to a 21-10 record against a national schedule and a semifinal berth in the Maryland Private School State Tournament. He averaged eight points per game while shooting nearly 60 percent from inside the three-point arc.
As a junior in 2024-25, Shoultz led Columbus' Northland High School to a third straight city championship while earning First Team All-League recognition. He was also an Honorable Mention All-Ohio Division II selection after averaging 16.2 points per game.
Shoultz becomes the fourth freshman in Richmond's incoming class, joining Sam Simmons Jr. (Olathe, Kansas), Dane Caldwell (Sellersburg, Indiana), and Chad Cook (New Hampton, New Hampshire).
