Women’s Basketball Releases 2026-27 Non-Conference Schedule

RICHMOND, Va. – University of Richmond women's basketball head coach Alisa Kresge announced the team's 2026-27 non-conference schedule Thursday. The Spiders will play eight non-conference games in the Robins Center and 10 in the Richmond metro area while making three road trips during the non-conference season.
"Our non-conference schedule will give us an opportunity to test ourselves against challenging opponents, prepare for a competitive Atlantic 10 season, and introduce this year's team to the Spider faithful, whose support has meant so much to this program and will be so important throughout the upcoming season," said Kresge. "There is a lot of work ahead, and we will approach it with purpose and dedication to ensure we are prepared to compete and uphold the Richmond women's basketball standard."
Richmond will start the season on the road Nov. 2 at Charlotte before hosting Princeton Nov. 6 and Rice Nov. 8 at the Robins Center. UR's first two home games are part of the Atlantic 10, American, Missouri Valley and Ivy League scheduling alliance. Richmond's matchup with Princeton will be part of a doubleheader along with Rice and Murray State in the Robins Center on Nov. 6, while UR's meeting with Rice will be paired with a Princeton-Murray State battle on Nov. 8.
The Spiders will clash with commonwealth foes Old Dominion Nov. 12 and William & Mary Nov. 15 to conclude an early four-game homestand. Richmond and Old Dominion face off for the first time since 2019, while the Spiders lead the all-time series with the Tribe 96-25, including an 84-58 win in Williamsburg last year.
Richmond will travel to Delaware Nov. 19 for its first meeting with UD since 2010 before returning to the Robins Center to welcome Holy Cross on Nov. 22.
Thanksgiving weekend, the Spiders will play two games against a pair of to-be-determined opponents as part of the 4 Tha Culture Holiday Classic at the Henrico Sports & Events Center. Richmond will be in action on November 27 and November 28.
In December, Richmond will host UNCG Dec. 6 prior to the start of finals week on campus. UR will return to action on Dec. 13 to face Liberty in the Robins Center. The Spiders will wrap up road non-conference action at the College of Charleston Dec. 20, then host Campbell Dec. 22 before switching gears into its full Atlantic 10 conference slate.
Kresge, who arrived at Richmond in April after leading Vermont to the NCAA Tournament three times in the last four seasons, will guide a roster that includes returning All-Conference selection Ally Sweeney in addition to Ava Persichetti, Rayne Wright, Aneisha Scott, Shaneka Campbell and Payton Richard. The Spiders also welcome a group of newcomers including Duquesne transfer Harriet Ford and freshmen Josie Fontana, Arisa Ihara, Kate Schindler, Bridget Rifenburg, Emma Schoen, Alexandra Vandiver and Hanna Tjernberg.
Tip-off times and broadcast details will be added on RichmondSpiders.com as they become available, and the team's Atlantic 10 schedule is expected to be released in September.
Fans who had season tickets for the 2025-26 season can currently renew their tickets for the upcoming year, and deposits are also being accepted for those interested in purchasing new season tickets for 2026-27. Single-game tickets will go on sale at a later date.
