As a Senior (2012-13): Took home the bronze medal in the 50 free( 23.42) and silver in the 100 back (53.69) and 200 back (1:59.5) and led off the first place 200 medley relay and 400 medley relays at the Atlantic 10 Championships… took first place in the 50 free (24.35) at the Rutgers/Central Connecticut meet. ... opened season with a first place finish in the 100 back (56.23) and took second in the 200 back (2:03.33) ... earned first place in the 100 back (56.08) and 200 back (2:04.31 and earned second in the 50 free (24.18) in dual meet against William and Mary. ... named A-10 Co-Performer of the Week, after finishing first in the 200 backstroke (2:00.41), 100 freestyle (51.58), and 100 backstroke (55.08) and breaking the meet record in the 100 backstroke at the Patriot Invitational
As a Junior (2011-12): Won seven medals at the A-10 Championship, including four golds, two silvers and one bronze... was named an Academic All-American... named a Scholar All-American... was tabbed an NCAA All-American honorable mention... was on the 200 medley (1:39.48), 400 medley (3:40.20), 200 free (1:32.65) and 800 free relays (7:24.25)...competed in the 100 back (52.59) and the 200 back (1:55.80) at the 2012 NCAA Championship, achieving best times in both events ... was named A-10 Performer of the Week in January...qualified for the Olympic Trials in Omaha, Neb. in June in the 100 and 200 back ... will serve as a team captain for her second season in a row.As a Sophomore (2010-11): Competed in the 100 back and 100 free at the 2011 NCAA Championship ... collected six golds and a silver at the Atlantic 10 Championship, where she was named the meet's Most Outstanding Performer for her efforts ... set an A-10 Championship and school record with first-place finish in the 100 back (52.76) and a program record with her runner-up showing in the 200 portion of the event (1:57.04) at the conference meet ... turned in the second-fastest time in program history in winning the 50 free (23.04) at A-10s ... raced on the A-10 record-setting 200 medley relay (1:40.11), 200 free relay (1:31.57), 400 free relay (3:21.10) and 800 free relay (7:19.65) squads at the conference meet ... named a Mid-Major All-American by CollegeSwimming.com ... chosen A-10 Performer of the Week on Oct. 18 and Jan. 31 ... will serve as a team captain this season ... enters 2011-12 as the program record-holder in the 100 and 200 back, ranked No. 2 all-time at Richmond in the 50 and 100 free and No. 3 in the 200 free.
As a Freshman (2009-10): Capped off her impressive freshman campaign by earning the A-10 Championship Most Outstanding Rookie honors ... also honored with the University's Donnie Earl Lindsey, Jr. First Year Spirit Award ... earned four A-10 Rookie of the Week honors during the season ... won six medals in Buffalo, including golds in four events, a silver, a bronze and set an A-10 record in the 100 back (53.94) ... captured silver in the 50 free (23.39), bronze in the 200 back (2:00.35) and gold in the 400 medley relay (3:42.11), 400 free relay (3:23.35) and 200 free relay (1:32.81) ... her 100 back time at the A-10s was also good for an NCAA "B" cut, as were the times in the 400 medley and free relays ... enters 2010-11 ranked No. 5 on Richmond's all-time list in the 50 free (23.39) and 100 free (50.87) ... holds UR freshmen records in the 100 back (53.94) and 200 back (2:00.35).

Getting to Know Lauren...
Why did you choose UR?
I wanted to attend a top-notch academic school, while also having the opportunity to be a part of a team where every member plays a part in the overall season's success.
What do you consider your greatest accomplishment at UR thus far?
I would say that my greatest accomplishments up to this point was having the opportunity to be a part of this team, swimming on team relays and getting invited to NCAAs.
When did you begin swimming?
I began swimming at the age of five. I used to pretend that I was a mermaid and would refuse to get out of the water when my parents asked me to.
What do you enjoy most about the sport?
I enjoy being able to work toward my personal goals while also supporting and pushing my teammates/friends to reach their potential.
What is your major? Sociology with a minor in Elementary Education
What is your dream job? An elementary school teacher
If you could have any superpower it would be... the ability to fly or warp myself to other places because I think it would be awesome to travel to all different parts of the world that I may not ever get the chance to see.
If your teammates could describe you in three words they would be... tall, friendly and hardworking.
