The Richmond win...
- Gave the Spiders a 6-3 mark for the first time since the 1992 season.
- Gave the Spiders a five-game winning streak, the longest since winning seven-straight in 2000.
- Gave head coach Dave Clawson his first six-win season at Richmond.
- Made the Spiders 5-5 at home under Clawson.
- Made the all-time series with VMI 40-38-5, in favor of the Keydets.
- Upped the Spiders' record to 27-21-3 against the Keydets when playing in Richmond.

Game Notes
- Richmond set a new season high for total yards in a game with 573, which ranks second all-time in school history.
- Arman Shields caught six passes for 131 yards, giving him five 100-yard receiving games this season, the first time a Richmond player has done so since Rod Boothes in 1992.
- Tim Hightower rushed for 103 yards giving him back-to-back 100-yard rushing games. It was the first back-to-back 100-yard rushing games for a Spiders since Cordell Roane in 2001 (111 yards, Oct. 27 vs. URI; 111 yards, Nov. 3 vs. Hofstra). Hightower also rushed for two touchdowns for the second-straight game.
- Stacy Tutt rushed for more than 100 yards for the first time this season, giving Richmond two 100-yard rushers for the first time since Oct. 28, 2000 vs. Villanova.
- Danny Desriveaux's 8-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter was his first-career TD catch. He then caught his second touchdown pass of his career in the third quarter and set career highs in catches (8) and yards (82).
- Tutt moved into third on the Spiders' all-time list for passing yards as his 273 yards gave him 4,681 for his career.
- Tutt also moved into third on the Spiders' all-time list for total offense at 5,836 and third on the school's all-time list for total plays (1,033) He moved into fourth on the Spiders' all-time list for pass attempts with 658.
- Tutt's 47-yard run on the first drive of the third quarter was his longest run of the season.
- Shields' 64-yard reception in the first quarter was the longest catch of his career.
- After converting on fourth-down and three in the second quarter, Richmond is now 8-for-8 when facing fourth down with three or less yards to go.
- Senior Joseph Fore has now hit at least one field goal in each of the last eight games he has played after connecting on a 22-yarder in the first quarter. He entered the game leading the A-10 in field goals per game and ranking sixth in the country with a 1.67.
- Richmond's first drive of the game was the longest scoring drive of the season in time (6:43) and tied for most plays (15).
- Richmond's 97-yard touchdown drive in the second quarter was the longest drive of the season and tied for the most plays (15).
- After giving up 44 yards on 13 plays on VMI's first drive of the game, the Richmond defense held the Keydets to 69 yards and 37 plays for the remainder of the game.
- Harry Wilson's 44-yard punt return in the fourth quarter was the longest of the season for Richmond and the longest of Wilson's career.
- Tutt's 377 yards of total offense rank fifth all-time in Richmond annals.
