Senior (2012-2013): Recorded a record of 8-10 in the spring where she played at the No. 5 and N0. 6 position ... earned key wins over Temple, JMU, and ECU... partnered with Elizabeth Sims at the No. 2 postion where the duo went 5-5 ... Sims and Smyth won the doubles point for the Spiers against Butler in the opening round of the A-10 tournament.
Junior (2011-2012): Went 11-6 at No. 5 singles...went 9-7 at No. 1 doubles with Helen Cunningham...won a season-high four matches in a row...went 6-1 in A-10 play, including a win in the 2012 A-10 Tournament which the Spiders won...had notable wins over JMU, Liberty and Davidson.
Sophomore (2010-2011) :Tied Sims for team-best 15 wins in singles play...went 15-5 overall in singles action...went 6-14 in doubles play...went 6-1 in A-10 play...had quality wins over No. 43 William and Mary Sydney Smith, Temple, Davidson, East Carolina and West Virginia.
Freshman (2009- 2010): Went 3-3 in fall action...went 4-7 at No. 5 singles with wins over Saint Joseph's, UMBC, GW and Memphis.
High School: Three-year varsity letter winner... team captain and MVP during her senior year... All-League and FAA singles tournament winner ninth and 12th grade... undefeated in ninth and 12th grade... helped her team to a third-place FAA tournament finish during the 2009 season.
Personal: Born Jan. 28, 1991... daughter of John and Karen Smyth... has two sisters, Tori and Elle... interests include swimming, skiing, volleyball, pilates, cooking and listening to music.
