COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The third ranked Maryland Terrapins shut out the Richmond Spiders, 7-0 on Sunday behind a two goal, two assist performance from Maryland senior Rachel Hiskins.
Maryland junior forward Dina Rizzo one-timed a Hiskins pass to put Maryland on the scoreboard early in the first half at the 29:59 mark. Consecutive scores by Hiskins at 13:32 and 10:55 put the Terps up 4-0. Maryland would add two more scores in the first half to build a 6-0 advantage at the half while holding the Spiders to just one first-half shot.
Maryland outshot Richmond 33-5 in the contest. Richmond goalkeeper Brooke Fuller collected six saves in the loss.
